Janel,
I have the same issue as you do. I have the bible folder on a cf card and 
the only way I've been able to access it is with the book reader. that 
allows me to read my bible daily. I don't bother with activesync unless I 
want to transfer files from the computer to the braillenote PK. otherwise 
I let activesync sleep!
Now I am assuming you're wanting to read, then use book reader and you'll 
quickly learn how to manipulate book reader to read what you want.
