This is Joseph. For technical note: ActiveSync is
solely used for file synchronization purposes. I
regularly use ActiveSync to synchronize files, make
backup of my BN data to my PC, and more. I hope when
HumanWare releases SDK for BN, I hope they're going to
take advantage of "add or remove programs" feature of
ActiveSync to add and remove programs designed for BN.
For synchronizing KeyList and KeyPlan, BN uses a
program called KeySync which acts as add-on to
ActiveSync. A note on Explore item: when you browse BN
in ActiveSync, you'll see that Flash Disk is listed as
a folder. This is because ActiveSync and Windows CE
treats KeySoft System Disk as "root" directory
(typically called My Device). Therefore any device
added to BN would be listed as a folder. By clicking
this folder such as Flash Disk you're effectively
browsing the device associated with the folder name.
(CompactFlash cards are listed under either Storage
Card or CompactFlash cards depending on the location
of the card.) I hope this information may help you.
