I would respectfully submit that I do not believe WEP is the issue here.
I have had a wireless network in my home for a year and a half, and
connection stability is outstanding.  Several PCs, a Braillenote and
another device that shall remain nameless connect seamlessly (except for
that other device on occasion)
All of the time.

Sorry if I was vague about that.  On the network in question, using WEP,
connecting wasn't a problem; the two Dell PC's, wouldn't stay connected.
Interestingly enough, the Braille Note's connection seemed to be more
solid.
