Hello Robert: If I'm understanding your situation, you're able to connect to the internet on your computer but not on the BrailleNote. I'm assuming that both systems are connected into the same router. When the router was installed, did any kind of MAC address filtering get installed?? and further, are you using WEP encryption??
I have a Linksys router and to the best of my knowledge, Out of the box, none of these security measures should be activated. However, if you had the router professionally installed by your ISP or someone else, they could have turned on some or both of them. Now, you say you can see the router (Linksys), but did you actually connect to it. To do this, go to the options menu, then to connectivity, then to wireless. Make sure wireless is turned on. You should then scan for existing wireless networks. When you see your network, select it and follow the prompts. Once you've done that and saved the communications configuration, then connect to the internet using that named configuration. If you can tell us a little more about what is happening when you try to connect and what steps you are taking we might be able to help more. hth Jeff
