Good Friday Evening,

I have had the ability to connect to the internet and download e-mail using my
wireless ambicom card for a month. I have a few observations and possible
questions.

Sometimes downloading e-mail is fast with 1 or 2 peeps per message sometimes
there are 3 or 4 beeps. It doesn't seem to matter how large the message is.
When the Braille Note is in a fast mode it works fine for about 60 e-mails.
After that it takes quite awhile to download each message no matter how small.

Sometimes it isn't any faster than using dial-up. Yesterday I began
downloading 84 e-mails and it hung on the first message and wouldn't do
anything. Then I used a reset and downloading proceeded. It got stuck again
around message 70. I gave up read the messages and moved the majority to the
trash. When I attempted to download again it hung at message 15 which was
still in the trash. I finally used the computer.

I can't figure out when it will be slow or fast. Any thoughts? I am connecting
via the comcast router, but the e-mail service to which I connect is earthlink.
Also sometimes it is faster when deleting e-mail but today it was slow and
would take several seconds for the next message to come up in the list after
deleting. I emptied the trash and freed database space prior to the e-mail
session.
I do find the internet much faster. I had to copy several parts of an article
to review for a class. Although it took time to accomplish the task, I managed
to block and copy about 150 pages for a keysoft document.
