Hello Lisa,

If you choose to save a file as a KeyWord Braille file, KeySoft
automatically puts the correct extension on the file. The file should have
a KWB extension. Therefore, you should name the file accordingly.

Subject: [Braillenote] trouble reading an attachment

> Hi Everyone,
> Okay a friend of mine sent me an attachment. When I downloaded it the BN
said something about the file being an ASCI file. I said I wanted to save
the document as a keyword document. Perhaps this was my first mistake.
Then the BN asked if I wanted the file as a braille file or a text file. I
chose a Braille file. I named the file with a brf extension. I opened the
file and it's in computer Braille. I changed the file extension to txt but
that doesn't solve anything.
> I'm not sure how to fix this issue other than to have my friend resend the
attachment to me. It's a book she had scanned in for Bookshare.
> Any advice would be helpful thanks!
