I believe people should have both a BN and a PC. Why? (1) When your BN is
being repaired, you still have access to a computer. (2) Although KeyWeb and
Keymail have improved, you might need to use a PC to read a web page or a
difficult email. (3) You can backup files onto your PC. (4) You can rip CD's
to the hard drive of your PC, convert them to mp3 files, copy them to a compact
card and play them on your BN.
A used desktop isn't expensive, though a person should have a computer-savvy
friend or family member make sure the PC is in good running order and you
aren't being cheated. You can even lease WindowEyes so you're not paying a big
chunk for a screen reader or you could use the demo version.

I'm not advocating the PC as a quick fix. The truth is, Keysoft 5.1 and
earlier had trouble with attachments and the only things a person can do is to
either upgrade Keysoft, buy an Mpower, or buy a PC.
It makes sense to have a backup system in case your BN has to go to the shop
unexpectedly.
