Well, Bob, I too was about to ask for information about the various resets. I found it a little heavy going in the manual (probably because I'd read so much) when I reached that point, but I felt I needed to understand them.)
So, is the rule of thumb to try a warm reset first, then go through the Space with 1, 2, 3; then space with 4, 5, 6? Perhaps it just comes with experience . . .. Any further comments anyone has on this would be useful. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of bob mates Sent: Wednesday, July 27, 2005 4:52 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Braillenote List Subject: RE: [Braillenote] MY routine EMAIL MAINTAINANCE USING THE PK The regular reset, using just the reset button, is the equiallent of a "warm" reset. The 1-2-3 reset takes you back to the upgrade burned into your ROM. The 4-5-6 reset is the coldest reset, and it cleans out your KeySoft system disk, and necessitates resetting the date and time. It's only used when nothing else" works.
