The Braille Note family uses 802.11b. You are correct in the most
routers
are 802.11g, but will support both types of wireless topologies. I
don't
know about the Linksys USB routers, but I have a Linksys router
(WRT54g)
which works great with both my MPower and wireless PC's here in the
house.
Most routers will connect to either type of consumer broadband modem
(Cable
or DSL) through an Ethernet cable.
