This is Joseph. I tried myself once on my BrailleNote as well. I contacted Dean
Jackson of HumanWare about this and told me that it was a broken link. But he
gave me the solution, though. It involves resetting you notetaker.
1. Go to Main Menu.
2. Hold down dots 1-2-3 and while holding down it down, press Reset button.
Continue to hold down the keys until you hear chime or speech from your
BrailleNote.
3. Once the reset is complete, you are now in KeySoft ROM Image. From Main Menu
go to File Manager, select directory, and navigate to Flash Disk/Windows
folder. Don't do anything.
4. Press BACKSPACE with dots 12-3-5-6. KeySoft will prompt you for confirmation
before deleting will occur. Type y for yes.
5. Go to Main Menu and press Reset again, but this time with no keys held down.
The GPS item will be gone.
note: if you happened to use Multilingual software, you need to reinstall it. I
