Hi Blake,

While I believe that this would be technically possible, it may or may not
be implemented in a future version of KeySoft. Jonathan Mosen is the man to
answer questions on new functionality, though I'm quite happy to say, to the
best of my knowledge and taking into account current and upcoming Humanware
projects, whether something is or is not technically possible. For future
reference, sometimes, we obviously can't say everything we'd like to tell
you on a particular subject, as will be apparent from the list archives.

Having said all of this folks, we continue to take your suggestions
seriously and keep them in mind for future SMAs. All these things
unfortunately are very time consuming so it isn't possible to include
everything and therefore, not possible to please all of the people all of
the time. All this said, that's why I'm very pleased, both as someone
working at Humanware and as a BrailleNote user, with what we have achieved
in the KeySoft 7 release, which for clarification, you will be seeing in the
new year.

Regards,

Subject: [Braillenote] infrared controller

Hi Dean. Could the infrared port be used as a remote control for various
devices that have an infrared receiver like tv's and such? Would this be
possible in the future?

Thanks,
Blake
