The advantages of saving files as Keyword documents are:
1. All of your formatting such as tabs, fonts like bold and italics, page
numbers, automatic indents, placemarkers, style indicators, forward and
backward translation codes and options, will be preserved. None of these
are preserved when you save a file as ASCII text.
2. You won't be asked to review the options when you open the document.
3. Placemarkers you set will be preserved.
4. The default files when you are cycling through a list of files to open
in KeyWord is always Keysoft. I wish HumanWare would change this so the
default would be all files.)
Remember, you can always export multiple files to another file type when you
need to read them with a PC.

Subject: [Braillenote] key word documents
Hi,
I haven't saved a file in the key word format yet but had assumed it would
be something that could be accessed in microsoft Word. If not, what's
the advantage of using it? Seems like it would be best to stick with txt
then so that our files could still be accessed if we didn't have our
braillenotes.
Pam
