This is Joseph. The software used in BraileNote PK is stored in a memory called Read-Only Memory, commonly known as ROM. Anything in this memory cannot be altered. Unlike Windows, Windows CE and Pocket PC software is normally stored in ROM. Generally applications on these devices are stored in Random-Access Memory or RAM. These programs can be uninstalled. ROM data cannot be uninstalled. In KeySoft, add-ons such as GPS are stored in Flash Disk under Windows directory. By deleteing this directory, you are effectively uninstalling applications from PK. The procedures are as follws: 1. Hole down dots 1-2-3 and press control keys C3 and C4. The BNPK will confirmed by producing a beep. This will restart KeySoft that is stored in ROM (this is similar to fresh installation of Windows or Windows Safe mode.). After few moments, KeySoft will restart. 2. Once in the Main Menu, start File Manager and navigate to Flash Disk\Windows folder. When you arrive at Windows folder, press BACKSPACE with dots 2-3-5-6. KeySoft will pop up and say, "Delete Windows folder. Sure?" Be sure to answer yes. When you hear prompt to delete protected files, type a for all. This will effectively erase all files on Windows folder. 3. Go to Main Menu and press C3 and C4. This will restart KeySoft in normal mode. You have just uninstalled an application. To reinstall it, follow the procedure from the program documentation. Note: if you happened to use Multilingual software, you should reinstall it. I hope this information may help you.
