Hello again Kelly and list,

The first thing you need to understand is the serial number on my Juliet
Embosser isJ0002.This simply means my Juliet was the second one made. There
have been some hardware upgrades put in since I bought it but for some reason,
I haven't been able to get the serial port or what I thought was the serial
port working with much of anything! There may be a few bent pins in that port.
It was never fixed when my embosser went back for repair. Up till now, the
printer port has worked well and I never had to worry about setting parameters
etc. I have used the serial port in my Blazer but when my devices could use
the printer port, I went with that because of the ease of use and getting down
to business right away! I believe the ET embosser has a USB port but haven't
checked that information lately. I may contact Enableing to see what more they
suggest as well as phone Humanware. There is some kind of infrared gadget that
can be connected and the BN M Power might be able to utilize the i
nfrared port. I simply need to check out the possibilities further.

Jim
