Your CF card needs to be formatted as FAT, FAT16 or FAT32.

You tried accessing the files on it and everything, Sarai?
If it doesn't show up in your Dad's laptop, perhaps it's a dud card. I'd
contact Sendero tomorrow and they'll probably either send you a new one,
or have you download the 3.1 directly.
