Then, I should be in business by calling my Talking Book library in Topeka,
Kansas and having them sned info to bookshare stating I"m blind and can't
read print? So, is bookshare.org just for us print-handicapped folks, or
what?
I know, I could head to the manual and/or web site, but time at work doesn't
allow for internet surfing right now, and I'm computer exhausted when I get
home. There are some nights going through e-mail is all I do.

Hi all,
Yes, Brenda, you're right. You don't have to belong to NLS. Most of
us have been members of NLS since ever, and sometimes we forget that
some folks aren't. Kelly, she's right. The deciding factor *is* if
you're print handicapped. You have to submit a Proof of Disability
form. Most folks ask their NLS Regional Library to send verification
of their membership in NLS, which is a passport to Bookshare. If you
don't belong to NLS, then, you have to get the requisite authority:
social worker, doctor, lawyer, minister, priest, optometrist,
mobility instructor, rehab counselor, whatever, to verify that you really
do need Bookshare.
