Just to help balance things out, I got my transplanted mPower on
Tuesday--October 25--and the battery is behaving well, very similar to my
classic's battery. I am completely, absolutely, utterly impressed with the
speed of every process, especially handling Email and large documents and web
pages. I wouldn't recommend trying this at home, (Grin), but I downloaded over
1300 messages the first day I had the new unit, and it went off without a
hitch. I haven't let the battery go totally flat yet, so can't comment on
that. When I got the "battery is low" message, I chickened out and plugged it
in right away.
I can report that the following cards work great with the mPower:

Hitachi 6GB Compact Flash Microdrive
Sandisk 1GB SD USB Ultra II, (it's an SD card that also plugs into a standard
USB port as a thumb drive)
Sandisk 1GB Titanium Cruiser thumb drive

I will test my 30GB pocket hard drive and get back to y'all with the results,
but I can't remember who the manufacturer is.

I do have one question: Is anyone using their mPower with a cell phone using
the hayes compatible modem on com1 option? I'm having trouble with mine, so
thought I'd see what others have tried. If I can't get it to work, I just
might have to break down and get a phone with Bluetooth, this option sounds
marvelous!

TIA,

Sarah
