Hi all,

Jonathan said he'd be interested to know how we're doing so I thought
I'd write something now.

First, I've already written about various earlier crashes and possible
battery problems about which we're not over-concerned and it may well be
now that the battery is beginning to settle down. (We'll do a proper
test at the weekend to see how long it will keep going.)

Meantime, we've covered the more general items of the file management,
quite a lot of word processing, practised using the thumb keys when
reading as well as letting the display advance at a set time and have
also entered a number of appointments in the Planner. When first I read
the chapter on the Planner I wasn't too excited. I had realised it was
based on Outlook, which I know well, but somehow I found it sounded a
little too full of commands to me. Well, when I started to perform
them, see the results and realise it was much easier than I'd thought it
sounded, things really came to life. I then started to find
appointments, based on a word I'd recalled, and this really was ace!
You see, since the Braille Lite there hasn't been anything else that
could touch that part of a calendar for blind people, to my way of
thinking anyway! Now we're really happy!

Now, is there a way for me to transfer these Planner entries into my
mobile phone via BlueTooth? Do I export the database to the phone or
have to somehow choose individual dates? (I haven't got quite that far
in my reading and perhaps this can't even be done at this stage without
going via ActiveSync and Outlook. Anyway, I welcome any feedback on
that one.

Regards:
