Hi Folks,
I just downloaded the patch keysoft 6.2 built 25 and put it on my 512 mb SD
card, after following the instructions from HumanWare about formatting the
SD card to fat 16.
It installed flawlessly in about 20 minutes with the AC power plugged in.
This SD card was always use in the beta testing of the MPower and what is
required to do for upgrading all MPower units.
The SD cards are smaller and the same price as CF cards.
for example, I just bought a number of CF, SD, and Thumb drives from
Staples in the past few months for these prices:
1 gb cf, sd, usb thumb drives $59.00
512 mb cf, sd, usb thumb drives $29.00
I wouldn't buy any smaller than 512 SD cards, since after the upgrade you
could use it for regular storeage.
Technology advances and SD cards are in, just like cd-rom disks will
eventually go the way of LP's or Cassettes.
Your CF cards can still be used, but in the past, they, HumanWare only had
the CF port on the Classic units and upgraded that way, but SD cards are
just the new form of storeage media, all you have to do is look at the
digital cameras and pda's and ipods to see that.
