Kathy, try doing just a regular reset now and see if you get the GPS option back. The 123 (or in your case d e f) reset brings you back to what's been installed in rom, which isn't GPS. Hopefully a regular reset will get your GPS back.

OK I was upset this morning when I discovered that my best efforts to type correctly were being foiled by my voicenote's propensity to add spaces at will. I thought I'd calm down and remember why I bought the beastie in the first place and just play with my GPS for awhile. It's GONE!!!!

Remember the non-destructive resets with sdf that have to be done periodicly to keep you out of the mire? Remember the changeable CF card functions using memory cards, wireless modems and the like? OK my GPS maps and files were on a CF card in the back slot. I removed it and put in my 2 GB CF card so I could store everything there that could be put there leaving me more room for my email. Remember the email? So then I took out the CF card with all my files stored on it and put back in the CF card with my GPS files on it. But GPS is no longer an option in my main menu. GPS is gone gone gone. and I"m not a happy camper to put it sweetly.
