Hello Pam,

I have run into this same problem while on the road. Should you get this error message again, simply do a normal reset and try again. Usually that is some kind of authentication error one gets every once in a while. I'd say minus 44 is a reasonable signal strength reading according to what is being used in the M-power. I've often worked with kminus 50 or worse. Twenty to thirty is ideal! There may be other factors involved. Another possibility is try the side slot if you are using the back slot. You can check this at home if you have the pcmcia to flash card adapter.

I sent for a different Sandisk card myself so I'll see how that works when it gets here.

Just keep trying! Its fun playing with networks on the road.

It happened. We went out of town for the weekend and of course I had my MPower with me. We had breakfast at Ross's this morning, and they offered free wireless access. I was able to get on the internet with no problem. But for some reason I couldn't send or receive my email. It said Error 10060. I don't know if this had anything to do with anything or not but the signal strength was minus 42 dbm. I forgot, is that a good signal or is that weak? I assumed all wireless internet access would be highspeed, but when I tried to pull in ACB Radio Mainstream, there was a lot of breakup which doesn't happen here at home. So maybe the email program times out or something? Does anybody know what that error indicates? It obviously had something to do with the connection since I'm not having the problem here. It was a halfway successful adventure anyway.

Pam
