Hi Paula,

Thanks for posting this. I've had the same problem, and not just with Sandisk
cards. I've been through two Sandisk wireless cards and am now using my third
Ambicom. You're not kidding about the expense. I've wondered if the mPower
runs differently than most PDA's, something along the lines of using more power
or using power differently. I've also wondered if these cards weren't intended
to be run as often or for as long as I've been running them.

I've been hesitant to post this because of the tendency for this kind of
message to cause unwarranted panic, kind of like yelling "Fire!" in a crowded
theater. <Smile> So, List, please know that this is only my own experience,
and that I'm not saying it's a problem with all mPowers.

Sarah

Subject: [Braillenote] Sandisk Wifi Cards

Hi

I was wondering whether anyone else has had an issue with the Sandisk Wifi
Cards seeming to die when used with the mPower. My first one died within a day,
and the second one ordered from a different company but the same brand died
within a week. When I say die I mean completely ceasing to work. Apparently a
little light flickers once when you put the card in but then when you try and
use it no visible network is detected. We've tried all the different resets and
deleting and reconfiguring our connections with no luck. We also tried another
mPower with the same results. It's getting kind of expensive and I want to
order another card but am a little hesitant about trying a third Sandisk.

I'd be interested in hearing if anyone else has experienced anything like this.

Cheers
Paula.
