Actually that is an interesting question. In the days when we use
nicolle cad batteries the batteries lasted longer if you discharged
them. However with the new Nicolle metal hydride batteries and lithium
that isn't true any longer. In fact you should charge them more often
than less often. It all depends on what kind are in the unit.

Another question.

Again, I have the mPower.  I read that the unit will do a proper battery

recalibration on its own if fully charged and then used until it goes 
flat.  Well, that caused a problem the one time I did it as the unit 
wouldn't restart and Dean advised me to use the reset plus record button

reset.

So, what is the best practice here?  If I notice the battery is getting 
low but I haven't gotten a crash or a warning, is that the time to plug 
it in, or is it best to always use it until it shuts itself off?
