Nicole and Jane,
There are several reasons why you'd want to use the BrailleNote as a
synthesizer. You still need a screen reader to do this.
The reasons are as follows the computer you are using doesn't have a sound
card, you have an old computer that only has a single channel sound card, or
the sound card stops working.
