Hi everybody! even though i recieved my PK afew months ago, i have not had the time to sit down and make very good friends with it. afew complex things i think are happening, that require a lot of energy to research and trouble shoot.
first, i have an ambicom wireless car inserted in the CF card slot. i try to scan for and connect to my campus' wireless network. i can find it just fine in the connectivity menu. when i try to connect, i receive an error message. i also have a 1gb compact flash card with my books and files on it. since i do not have a combination compact flash storage and wireless card, this brings me to my next question: if i want to use the wireless card and access my files at the same time, is it possible to set up my laptop to serve as a SECURE ad hoc network for the pk, and through this network, access my ebooks that are stored on my computer? also, another stange quirk that i observed when i got the ambicom card and began having to switch cards in an d out fequently, when i power on, i get the message "card removed" immediately followed by "card insterted" this does not affect whether or not i can access the files on the card, it just constantly appears on startup. oh, and one more thing! i have tried and tried and tried unsuccessfully to connect to activesync via bluetooth. i had in home training to help me solve this problem, but after trying every trick in the manual and calling tech support, we had no luck. we got as far as both machines recognizing each other's existence, but activesync was not an option offered by the pk. we were also unable to connect via usb. any ideas? Im up against a wall here. anyone have any remedies for any of these things? thanks in advance, -- Julie Stamm
