This is Joseph. The purpose of recalibration is to update the conditions of the battery. For example, on Classic units, the battery gauge is not updated very often and the unit won't be able to recognize the change of battery conditions. Like Classic units, mPower units does that. To update the information about the battery status, it is recommended that you discharge and recharge the unit completely once every two month or so. The recalibration feature in Support information maode is there to process the discharge and recharge more quickly by using speech. I hope this information may halp you.a;b
