I don't have much experience, but I did have that problem when I first set up my wireless connection at home. I resolved it by changing settings until I got the correct settings for our router. I would try assigning a static IP address to the braillenote, and I would provide a primary and secondary DNS. A DNS should be provided somewhere on your Internet provider's web page, or it might be possible to find that information somewhere in the router or modem's setup pages. These wo items are things I find to be very common connection issues when it comes to accessing the Internet.

You may also have problems if the connection type is set to adhock instead of structured mode. Structured is the correct setting when you are using a WiFi router. Most other options really depend on the way your network is set up so I can't tell you what settings to use.

I hope this helps.
I have a degree in networking, but my education is out of date, so I'm learning all over again on my own.

Subject: [Braillenote] mpowered

I am having trouble connecting my son's mpower to our wireless router and to
the internet.

He can see the SSID of our network and is told he is connected. However, when he trys to go out to any site on the net, he gets the message "cannot find
server".

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dan Cooper
