I don't use the back slot, but I've had a couple of not-detected cards in the side slot, and a reset usually fixes the problem. I have one card that usually works, but every now and then I get the message that says something about needing to format it, and it locks up the unit. A reset will fix this, but the only thing that will then get that card to be recognized is to insert another card and have it get recognized, and then re-insert the card that was giving me the message about needing to be formatted, which will then work fine. Weird, huh?

Hi, everyone,

Perhaps this has been covered on the list but if so, it didn't get my attention until the problem came to my doorstep, (smile.) I've written to Dean Jackson about this and I'm sure he will get back to me because I only wrote to him a few minutes ago but I wanted to find out whether any of you have had this problem.

I have at least one and maybe two compact flash cards that my MPower can't detect until I turn off the unit and then turn it back on again. Have any of you encountered this and do you think it's a bug with the software? I'm hoping that it is, because then it won't be the fault of my compact flash card slot.

The side slot works just fine. It's only the slot in the back where I'm having the problem.

Thanks for your input.

Karen
