Hi Mike: The slot you think is a slot really isn't. It's where the button is housed is you put a PCMCIA card in. When you take it out, you'd just press the little button. Yes, when you put the card in, do a regular reset. Then, from the main menu, press O, C, W. You'll see something like "wireless card is not on; turn card on?" Press Y for yes. If you've already had a connection, press the Spacebar to where it says "can for a connection?" Press Enter. You should be good to go. It may ask you for a name for the connection, I just put in wireless. HTH
