Hi,

I'm looking for this rather than offering it, so apologies!

Humanware UK have taken the decision not to start the transplant programme
until the battery problem has been sorted out - an approach which I think is
reasonable on the grounds that why, potentially, ruin a perfectly-working BN.
However, what I have been (and remain) unclear about is why the problem is
taking so long to fix.

The fact that only a few people appear to have the trouble suggests that it's a
bad batch of battery units; but this can't be the case as, otherwise, this
batch would have been surplanted by a good one, presumably. Therefore, it must
be the interaction between the mPower and the battery unit - in which case,
what are the variables between one unit and another which could cause this? As
the software is identical across units, it must be the hardware that is the
culprit! However, again, how can this be as the units roll off a production
line which, presumably, is intended to produce identically-tooled products.

Whilst, when asked, we are told that a lot of resource is being thrown at the
issue (and there is no reason to doubt this), I don't remember having seen an
explanation of what the perceived fault is - if this has been proffered, my
apologies, I must have missed it amongst the high volume of traffic on this
list. Therefore, it would be greatly appreciated if someone from Humanware
would elaborate on the current situation and, more importantly, proposed
timescales for a solution. Every time I ask my local dealer in the UK, all I
get is a perplexed scratching of the head and a 'sorry, we don't know'! I
realise that it's difficult to give timescales as people tend to view these as
set in concrete but there must be something which Humanware can offer to its
frustrated customers over and above the platitudinous assurances that 'we're
working on it'.
