I found one thing that might help in those redirect dialog boxes. I, too, get
stuck in them quite a bit, but occasionally, this will work. There is a check
box that asks something about not showing this dialog box again, or something
to that effect. If you press space on the check box several times--at least
three, but sometimes five-until it says "checked", this might get you past the
dialog box. That checkbox doesn't always read correctly at first.
I hope this makes at least a little sense and is helpful.

Sarah

Subject: [Braillenote] Personalities of Equipment

Yes, this subject has a rather humorous tone. I write it this way for
especially Ann, and anyone else that may wonder where some of us are going with
our messages.
I'm almost convinced that our machines are taking on individual personalities.
Nancy Ungar could testify to the many times we've tried to get her up on the
NLS site to try to get books. Penny Golden and I have put in a lot of time.
Some of the issues are, that once you get in the redirection dialog box, you
can't get out. I am pleased that some of you do not have this issue. However,
for those that do, don't feel like you're stupid. It seems to be the nature of
the beast. When I hear someone talking about how easy it is, I'm glad for
them; but, please show some compassion for those who it isn't working for. I
do not know if some of this is a programming bug or not. Only Dean or Jonathan
could answer this question. I just want to say that I've been working with
some of the very most intelligent people, and they can't get in.
Pardon the rambling, and again, I congratulate those of you who have perfect
running machines. Please bear with our questions, for those of us who don't.

Sincerely,
Rhonda Clark
