Hello Dave,

I am not able to comment on the printer you have made mention of on the list
as I am not familiar with the model in question. However, I would try it
with both the standard and standard 2 settings as listed in the printer
types list in the printer setup menu if circumstances permit.

Currently, we do not support VPN connections.

If you use a Socket Communications PCMCIA or CF card with or without a
PCMCIA adapter, you will be fine. However, other Ethernet cards are not
supported at this time though that doesn't mean to say that they won't
necessarily work.

Subject: [Braillenote] 3 questions

Hello all,

I am a new bn user, actually haven't gotten the unit but am preparing for
it's arrival. I sent the following message to tech support but thought I
would post it here and see if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks

Message reads:

Hello, I have two questions. I asked this but didn't get a response, which
is fine, because I have more to ask this time.

1. Does the new braillenote support any sort of Virtual Private Network? My
university has its own and does not use wep or wpa for wireless.

2. I just bought a samsung ml1740 laserjet printer because it was such a
good deal at compusa, and I don't know if it will work with my braillenote,
any thoughts on this?

Ok I lied, 3 questions.

3. I am looking for a PCMCIA ethernet card, will any brand work? the Encore
ENP832, which is cheap at newegg.com seems like it will work at the
university but I don't know about the braillenote.

Please respond ASAP if you know anything,

Thanks,
Dave
