Hi Diane and list,
In your quest for finding the answer to this perplexing problem, don't
forget to consider your network card to be very much a part of your
problem. I have a network card which is still intermintent even though it
works best in the side slot in my M-power but works best in the back slot
in my older BN 32BT. If you have an adapter from the PCMCIA slot to the
Flash card, try that and see whether your card may work bettter provided it
is a wireless card. If it is possible, try a different card if you have
access to one and see whether that might solve your problem.
I get some of the messages you describe when my card decides to be
intermintent when connecting to my server and I have found the problem was
caused more by the card itself than the BN. Chances are the pins don't
quite match up as they should and when that happens, the card simply
doesn't work right! I'd say the card is the problem. My wife's card works
fine in the rear slots of all three of our units. Go figure! I don't have
any problems using her card but my card has been a pain at times.
