Hi Jim, I'd seriously consider getting another card. I got mine at www.ambicom.com, and a number of others have gotten theirs at www.amazon.com. Of course, there's always HW, and maybe they would send you a new one if you went through all the proper channels.

I traded wireless cards with her and I'm having the intermintent problem of the card not staying connected. I can sit here and hear the BN say, "not connected" "connecting to network" (network represents my network name), and the sequence of connecting and disconnecting is seconds apart. I simply sat here and watched my unit go from connected to network to disconnecting almost systematically and I wasn't touching the unit at all! This is most disconcerting when I'm trying to read an EMAIL or web page and the BN continually disconnects and reconnects. I can turn wireless off if I wish but there are times I'd like to remain connected while doing any number of things. What might be the problem here? Is there a loose pin on the card? Is there a component or circuitry that is overheating somehow? Should I th row the c ard in the garbage and spend another 40 to 70 dollars for a new card? It works the same way on both our units. It may behave some days, but when it acts up, it really acts up! The signal level isn't the problem since I get minus 30 dbm constistently where I use it. This is a pretty good signal level usually. My wife is having no problem with the card I was using. Thanks for any help and ideas. I got the card from Humanware!
