I guess, grin, we all kind of hate to comment if we haven't had that experience, as I know I haven't with my PK. I'm wondering, though, if this was just caused by having the incorrect version of the GPS on your machine. Have you heard from Sendero yet? And, if not, guess you could try and call them tomorrow? Speaking of which, guess I need to call them myself, but then I kind of tend to put off making phone calls, although I'm sure I will get to it at some point. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peggy Kern" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, October 13, 2005 11:48 PM Subject: [Braillenote] Does no one have any thoughts re my reset loop?
Hi, all. I haven't seen any suggestions or thoughts on my mPower's "reset loop" as I call it, where it tells me system files need updating and to do a 4 5 6 reset, then tells me they've been updated and to do a regular reset then that they need updating, etc. Fortunately, I haven't needed to do any resetting since this started to happen, so it's only been experimentation since then. The first reset after the three-hour charge worked as it should; this just started happening after I inserted my GPS micro drive while the unit was on and it locked up. I'm just hoping this is something that can be fixed without having to send the unit in, as everything else works perfectly. I don't want to do a service reset unless I get the OK from Humanware, as it sounds like it's not recommended. I can just ignore the reset loop and go ahead and do my thing; but I'm concerned that once I get my upgraded GPS software for the mPower, I might not be able to install it if the reset loop is going on. So I'm just wondering if I'm the only one this has ever happened to or what. <grin> Peggy mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.home.earthlink.net/~kernsac MSN Messenger [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
