Hi,
Yes, I know that. I didn't do that this time because I was mainly
interested in trying to get a copy moved to the flash disk.

Evelyn,
Just an FYI, if you open files using the book reader, whether or not they
reside on a flash card, the BN will not alter them in any way. They are
protected.

Subject: [Braillenote] a strange file manager occurrence
Hello, All,
I have begun to use my BN for Braille music files created by Goodfeel. The
file extension for such files is .gf. When I put three files on a flash
card tonight, I renamed them so that they would have a .brf extension so
that the BN would recognize them. When I went to copy the first of them to
a folder on my flashdisk, it aborted, zero files copied. I tried this more
than once with Braille only, which is my default way of using my BN. Then I
turned that off and turned on speech, hoping for more info. I tried the
procedure again, the copy aborted, but I got no indicatation of anything
except, zpero files copied.
Then I opened one of the files on my flash card, something I don't like to
do for frear of altering it accidentally. Oh, I did forget to mention that
the unit did say "read to end". So I made sure the cursor was at the top of
the file and then I closed it. I proceeded to copy to flash again. This
time, the file copied, and I copied the other two while I was at it. I'm
glad I have them in the BN itself now, but I thought this was all rather
strange.
