Well, I say yes as well, but the save wasn't valid with a freeze.

I use the save option constantly.
I just do the control s and when it asks if I want to replace I say y
because if you type n it will ask you until the cows come home or you
answer with a Y.

I can't see why the save wouldn't work. Be sure to ans yes when you
are asked if you want to replace the document.
Perhaps I'll try an experiment and see if it will work on the QT
