Hi: There are several things to remember when doing this.
1. you cannot run the BN as a Braille display and a speech syn at the same time. 2. you must define the BN as a speech syn with your screen reader. Once you have done that then you must tell the BN. to act as a remote syn. The choice is right below Braille terminal. 3. except for use with window eyes you are talking about a Braille display not a control unit. While it is possible to make configuration changes you still need a keyboard to input data. 4. if you are using win eyes apparently you can input from the keyboard. I haven't tried this yet its on my to do list. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rusty Perez Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2005 2:03 PM To: 'Braillenote List' Subject: [Braillenote] BN bt as a speech synth and braille display Hi folks, I've just gotten my BN connected via cereal cable. Currently, it's acting as a braille display. I have two questions, first off, I'd also like it to work as a speech synthesizer. How do I accomplish this? Also, does any one have a succinct list of commands for using the bn as a braille display? How can I read the entire line, switch between programs ETC. Thanks!
