Dear Kirin,
To write braille using computer braille, follow these steps:
1. Create a braille document. To do this, press control with x until you
get to either "plain braille" or "braille document keyword type."
2. At the top of the document, press control g and type the letter c.
3. To write an uppercase letter in computer braille, hold down the shift
key and press the letter using the QT keyboard. For example, if you want to
write a capital a in a computer braille document, hold down the shift key
and press the letter a. If you have your braille display set to see
computer braille in 8 dots, you will see dot 7. If you have it set to see 6
dots, then only the speech will tell you the letters are capitalized.
Humanware has changed the keyboard. It used to be the semicolon key was dot
8 and the a key was dot 7. To write 8 dot braille using the QWERTY
keyboard.
The best way to write a document that you want to be translated into
computer braille is to:
1. Create a KeyWord text document.
2. At the top of the document, press read control b. Press the letter b
then the letter c.
3. Type your document as you normally would. It will all be in computer
braille.
