Hi Kathy, You are referring to the SuperBraille. It failed as a product because, for one thing, it had a humungous price tag. It first sold for $12,000, and , I think they lowered the price to $10,000, and even at that price, if you wanted connectivity, you had to also purchase a modem or network card. One thing that I didn't like was that the Braille display was built into the unit, so if it failed, and you had to return the unit for service, you were totally without a computer. I suggested that they may want to look into modularizing the display, so if it failed, you could send it in and you would still have your laptop computer. Actually, advancing technology made that unit an overpriced dinosour because laptop computers have become so inexpensive that you could buy a laptop with a compact 20 or 40 cell Braille display for half the price of the SuperBraille.

I don't know if he is still in business or what happened to that computer. IT had a lovely Braille display.
