Estin, The problem is that the books on step 1 have to be unzipped before they can be validated, so as Bookshare's information states, you will need a program like Winzip on your computer. After unzipping the book you can then transfer it to your BrailleNote for validating. I seem to rememger that someone a long time ago said there was a way to unzip files on the BrailleNote but I don't know what it is. You might want to join the BrailleNote list and ask that question. Unpacking the books and unzipping them are two different things as you probably know.
