Jim, This is interesting. . . ..
How do you check the strength, please? I'll check both side and back sockets too! -- Carol [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of James Aldrich Sent: Saturday, September 10, 2005 5:36 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Braillenote] Wonderful World of Network cards Hello List, As some of you may remember I have two ambicom network cards. My wife's card works flawlessly in all of our notetakers. My card has been intermintent and have been in contact with Ambicom to try to get the card replaced. My card which is intermintent won't work in the flash card slot of my M-power. I decided to try the PCMCIA adapter with the intermintent card and what a surprise! The card seems to be working nicely in the side PCMCIA Slot. Earlier today, Dar's card had a signal strength of minus 39 in the back slot. My card in the side slot had a strength of minus 33. In my older 32 BT unit, the card in the side slot is minus 40 and the back slot is minus 30. I was surprised when the side slot beat out the back slot. My card doesn't work at all in the back slot but it works beautifully in the side slot. Go figure! I will just use the card in the side slot and that should work nicely till I need another card. Go figure (grin smile) I am pleased though!
