Lauren

What are you doing and how far do you get before you have trouble?

I assume Jaws and I assume you are abel to connect the two together with the serial cable. On the main menu, press T for terminal or whatever it stands for. At that point, the BN display will go blank.

Now, IU'm assuming you have Jaws, but I think the same is true with Window Eyes as well. Unload and reload your screen reader at this point. I didn't find that in the BN manual or in my Jaws manual, but it might be there. Are you maybe just overlooking that step? I know I didn't know that until a kind soul on this list told me to do that.

Try again and let us know if you finally get it working.

Jean

Subject: [Braillenote] getting the braillenote to function as a braille display on my pc

Hi: For as long as I've had my braillenote, I've tryed many times to use it as a braille display on my computer. No matter what I've tryed to do it doesn't seem to work. What could I be doing wrong, and what do you suggest I try?
