Thomas,

I never hear Vingo before. So I downloaded it in German/English. I can not
open it because I read it as Germany. It did not ask me to select english or
germany.

Should I download a different one as it for German, english and some foreign
languages?

Subject: [Braillenote] I Must Correct Something

Hello dear friends from the BrailleNote list,

one day in July, our friend Jess Fox posted the question whether the
BrailleNote can be used as a keyboard for a laptop. In reply, I answered,
What I definitely know is that it will be possible to use the BrailleNote
PK's keyboard (which is an 8-dot Braille keyboard) as a keyboard for a
desktop computer on a system where Virgo runs as screenreader. I must
apologize here for sending an information that is not completely correct.
The truth is: At present, this feature is made available for Pronto. Pronto
is the German pendant to the BrailleNote PK, that is, the same piece of PDA
as regards the hardware, but running a software other than KeySoft. Pronto
is produced by Baum Retec AG in Germany, as is the screenreader Virgo.
Whether the BrailleNote PK will be supported in time, depends on both
KeySoft's and Virgo's further development. By the way: If you want to know
more about the screenrader Virgo, you can check the site www.virgo4.com .
Greetings, Thomas Rauch
