hi all,

A couple weeks ago, i wrote in about my BN totally crashing on my second day
on my new job. my rehab people picked it up and have sent it in to Human
Ware, about a week ago now. It will get transplanted, and whole new
wonderfully interesting unit will return to me, someday. I expect that with
the holidays, it will take longer than it might otherwise. that's ok.

Anyway, since my BN crashed without me having done a recent back up, i
understand that the files on the unit will be lost. However, I wanted to
clarify about the address book. Do I remember correctly, reading that Human
ware will transfer the address book from the old unit to the new one? I'd
hate to have to enter all that info again. I guess if it isn't backed up,
I'll just have to learn to use PC sync to move my outlook contacts to the
BN. I've been meaning to do that anyway.

Speaking of that, since it will be USB capable now, can I use some kind of
USB cable to connect it to the PC instead of using the serial cable and
using active sync?

Is there anything else I should know or things such as cards, devices,
cables or anything, to make better use of the new unit? As I'm finally
working and getting paid, I can go and buy accessories so I can play with
all or most of the features of the BN. my DSL modem is wireless capable,
but I don't have wireless on my PC right now. But can i still get the
wireless card for the BN and access files from my PC or my DSL? i haven't
paid attention to the conversations about all this in the past, because I
didn't foresee all this happening, and with technological stuff, it's easier
to learn about it when I need it. I just want to be prepared for all the
new fun.

thanks. Still trying to think of a new name for my BN, because when it
returns, it won't be ben anymore. grin.

thanks very much. happy holidays to all.
