Hello Kevin,

Read 6.1.1 in your M-power manual. This of course is the most expensive way to emboss with an M-power. It is something like $160 to $250 to get this device. I purchased an infrared adapter device from the manufacturer of my embosser which cost $72. The infrared port on the BN is used to send the information to the embosser. The device hooks into the parallel port of the embosser. I haven't tried mine yet but I'm certain it will work fine. There is suppose to be some kind of bluetooth device out there as well. A generic USB to parallel cable with or without a need to load drivers won't work.

You can use a serial port if it is a nine pin port. Otherwise you will need adapters to convert a twenty-five pin to a nine pin serial port. It is a pain but this is what one must do.

Hey List-
I was wondering since there isn't a parallel port avaliable on the BrailleNote mPower; what other option would be avaliable for embossing such as: using either USB or the serial port and if I do, what do I need for it to work.
K, much thanks would be appreciated.
Kevin
