I am probably mumping in a bit late here, and maybe this was already
said.
After the file is translated, go into the file in question, then go
into braille display options and change preferred reading grade to
grade 1. Then all of your symbols should turn out nicely.
Incidentally, did you translate the *text* f8le into Grade 1? You
can, you know.

Hi,
One way that seems to work for me is to go to Options, Braille
Display and set the preferred reading grade to grade 1.
Then all seems to appear as normal on mine.
I hope that works.

Hi Everyone,
Okay I finally got a chance to try and translate one of my books I
downloaded from Web Braille to read it in Grade 1. I went to the
file manager menu to the translation menu. I chose the translate
between Braille and text option. The file is in Grade 1 now kind
of. The punctuation marks for example the periods still show up
as being in computer Braille. How do I get this file to look as
much as possible to read correctly in Grade 1? I'm just
experimenting with this file. I was hoping to download children's
books for my student to read on the BN to help her become
familiar using the BN.
Thanks for your help and your time.
Lisa
