Hi, folks: I thought I'd say a few things. First, I pretty much agree with
what Jim Aldrich said, especially, as it pertain to not using the list to
berate Humanware. Certainly, there are things about which to be frustrated.
For instance, Rhonda and I, and possibly others have talked about the fact that
word separations occur. This is to say, that words ar" broken up with an
exclamation mark, with the rest of the word appearing on a different line.
This is kind of like the attachment issue: it may not be important to a lot of
folks, but it sure is important to some.  Bringing up an issue is important;
sending hundreds of emails about a particular issue, saying the same thing
again and again, such as: "Gee I wonder when my upgrade will come", or "BOY, I
sure hope my upgrade comes soon!", is wasteful.
Also, if you realize that a particular thread is going in a different
direction, and you want to continue with the new discussion, please change the
subject line!!! Say, for instance, there's a thread, called "wireless
connectivity." Now I'm not interested in that, because I still have area. That
means that, whenever i see the subject line, "wireless connectivity" I'm going
to delete that message. But, supposing the discussion has now turned to cool
web sites. Well, I'm interested in that, but, unless the subject line is "cool
web sites", I won't know it. Like most of you, I just read about what I'm
interested in. Please, therefore, be so good to change the subject line, as
the discussion changes.
Next, if there's one thing that Humanware, or any company knows, it is that the
relationship between a business and its customer is fragile. All of us, myself
included, have had moments of exasperation or frustration with the BN and its
family. Berating the company on an email list is counter-productive; it
doesn't change a thing. You have to write to Humanware, and tell them. That
works.
Now, then, I saw the M-power today, and got a chance to play with it, and to
meet HW's new Eastern rep, Carol Stone, and Matthew Janusaskis. (Hope I
spelled his name right.) The M-power is impressive. You can stream audio, and
use Windows Media Player, Mp3 or WAV files. The record feature is really cool.
Say, for instance, you record someone's name, phone number and address. You
can go to your address book, and write it down, as you listen to it! Also, you
can have stuff paying in the background, while you do other things. I was
really impressed. Oh! Who was that, who just offered to buy me one? hahahahaha
Well, I've shot my mouth off (or fingers) enough for tonight. ONE more thing:
why would we need more than one synthesizer on a piece of equipment? Just
wondering. Good night. Bob and Maxy-wax
