Ok. I got it solved now. I needed to answer yes to the authentification question on the braille note for it to send. I got it using comcast's smtp servers. I was thinking I was going to have to use t-mobile's smtp servers. At any rate, its all working now and I have complete access to mail and the web when away from home. Too cool!

Doesn't that show up within the properties or settings for your email program on your pc though? I don't use comcast, but they need to specify their servers somewhere in your email configuration. That is, unless they handle email differently than everyone else. <smile> Also, they should have a web page and within that a support page where you might be able to locate a list of their server names. But, if you're able to receive mail, you're half way there. Don On Sat, 26 Nov 2005 16:26:58 -0500, Carlos wrote: Hi Don. Wow you are quick. Your are correct in that I am sending email from my pc at this moment. Since I'm outside of comcast's domain when I connect to the internet on my braille note with my cell phone, I need to know what their smtp server name is. Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Don Bishop Sent: Saturday, November 26, 2005 4:20 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Smtp server Hi Carlos, I assume you're sending email from your pc right now. You might look in the settings of your email program as the smtp server should be specified there. Also, you may need to turn on authentication on the bn since you're actually connecting from outside the comcast domain when you connect using your cell phone.
