Hello!
That card isn't compatible with the BN or VN products. it works I
understand with the PK though! You need the ambicom WL1100C-CF card to
work with your BN or VN. That's the only one which works presently.
My WL1100C-cf card which was giving me problems finally died! My other
card is still working fine in my wife's unit. I purchased both from
Humanware. I called both Customer Service and Tech support to see if there
is anything I could do through them! Tech Support was sympathetic to my
problem but told me I needed to speak with customer service. Customer
service said I would have needed to replace the card within thirty
days. They would be happy to sell me a new one. The humanware price is
$79. I went to the Ambicom site and found out there is a year warranty on
these cards. I must come up with a proof of purchase which needs to be
faxed to them. Don't have a fax machine here so it may need to be
mailed! Then again, may throw the darn thing in the garbage and get
another! I'll price shop this time since they are available for close to
fifty dollars elsewhere. I may get a third card anyhow just in case one
should go bad again. I'll keep you posted on my dealings with ambicom.

After hearing about the Sandisk 128MB Storage/Wireless card being
purchased, and I assume used, by other BrailleNote users on the list, I
purchased one for my wife's BrailleNote. Either we got a defective card,
or there is a problem.
Am I correct in thinking that the Sandisk combination 128MB storage card
is compatible with the BrailleNote?
When the card is inserted in the side of the BrailleNote 32BT running
KS6.11 Build 26, according to the manual, a reset is performed. The card
is not recognized at all by the BN, and locks up completely. So can't get
any further.
We're using a PCMCIA adapter in the sideslot. A second PCMCIA adapter was
also tried with the same results. It is strange that not even the storage
component of the card is not recognized, never mind the W I F I part.
, as I thought it was.
Any ideas, or is this Sandisk card not compatible with the BN, as I
thought it was. Maybe I misunderstood.
Any suggestions on how to progress further would be appreciated, either to
me offlist, or on, whichever you feel is appropriate.
